Queued scan failure settings
Managing scan failures efficiently is crucial to maintaining system performance and ensuring outdated failed scans do not accumulate unnecessarily. To optimize this process, automatic scan cancellation and deletion settings are configurable for Invicti Enterprise On-Premises accounts. For Invicti Enterprise On-Demand accounts, the settings are not amendable. The default values as below are configured.
This document outlines the process for adjusting the automatic queued scan failure settings to align with your requirements.
How to amend the failed scan settings
- Select Settings > General from the left-side menu.
- Scroll down to the Hangfire job settings section.
- Adjust the following parameters as needed:
- Maximum number of scans to be failed per batch: Defines the maximum number of scans that can be failed at one time per account. The default is 100, but it can be set between 10 and 200.
- Queued scan failure threshold: Determines the number of days before scans are automatically marked as failed. The default value is 14 days, but it can be adjusted within a range of 14 to 90 days.
- If a scan remains in the Queued state beyond the set threshold, the following notification will be displayed:
"This scan task has failed due to being in the Queued state for more than 2 weeks."
By configuring these settings, you can better control the automatic handling of failed scans and optimize system efficiency.
